Podcast of the Month: La Poudre

Imagine a podcast in which a woman speaks twice a month in her own words about women's issues and gender-related topics.

This woman could be a politician, like Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Christiane Taubira, or Sandrine Rousseau; a writer, like Christine Angot or Vanessa Springora; a publisher, like Geneviève Brisac; a political scientist, like Fatima Ouassak; a filmmaker, like Maïmouna Doucouré; a philosopher like Judith Butler or Claire Marin, an entrepreneur like Dali Misha Touré, an economist like Julia Cagé, an artist like Clara Luciani, Jeanne Cherhal, or Casey, an eco-feminist activist like Vandana Shiva or Claire Nouvian, a top-level athlete like Sarah Ourahmoune, a woman of faith like Delphine Horvilleur, an illustrator like Pénélope Bagieu…This woman, at times, might also be a man or a non-binary person, such as Paul B. Preciado, Sam Bourcier, or Clovis Maillet.

Together, these figures would form the sonic kaleidoscope of contemporary femininity: a femininity rooted in deep historical traditions, a powerful femininity, a civic-minded femininity, a diverse femininity, a femininity that breaks taboos and shatters stereotypes about femininity…

Journalist Lauren Bastide is making this podcast dream a reality for us: it’s called *La Poudre*. More than 100 episodes are already available. There’s bound to be one that you’ll love.
