Diversity as a Driver of Business Performance

The Association Progrès du Management (APM) dedicated an entire webcast to the topic of gender parity in the workplace. Corinne Hirsch, an APM expert on gender diversity in the workplace, along with Fabienne Camas and Nicolas Tonin—both APM members—participated in this discussion, sharing insightful statistics and analyses as well as inspiring best practices.

Corinne Hirsch discusses the “inevitability of the 80/20 rule,” citing statistics that reveal the reality of gender inequality in the workplace. For example, 80% of leadership positions are held by men, and 80% of the time spent on household and family responsibilities is shouldered by women. “It’s an ‘inevitability’ because these figures haven’t changed,” according to the expert.

To bring about change, we need to start by debunking a few common misconceptions, such as the idea that gender diversity is only relevant to large Groups, or that it would be too expensive…
