20 Years of History to Understand Inclusion

How can a company become inclusive? How can inclusion be approached in practical terms? (...).

Even though the term has been around for more than 20 years, the concept of inclusion is little known, poorly understood, and sometimes misinterpreted. To fully grasp its scope, it is necessary to trace the history of diversity and inclusion in France, as the current approach is a consequence of how companies have implemented initiatives since the early 2000s.

While these initiatives have traditionally focused heavily on gender diversity and disability—and have primarily been geared toward HR processes—they are now forced to adapt to broader expectations and challenges and are facing a certain degree of fatigue within companies.
