November Editorial by Aurore Mayer: YOUR network drives the growth of OUR entire company
Launching a Parity Network is always a gamble. Will it be able to attract women and men eager to get involved? Will it receive long-term support from top-tier sponsors? Will it be able to promote the message of gender parity and influence practices across all industries and regions?
Your Un Une network, bolstered by a new momentum that began two years ago, is now rising to all these challenges. The past year has been exemplary in terms of the number of events organized (including the “Tour de France of the Regions,” which is still underway and enjoying renewed success at every stage), the level of member engagement, the attention paid to content (podcasts, newsletters…), and by the abundance of ideas and projects. First and foremost, I want to say BRAVO and THANK YOU for all the energy and professionalism with which you bring this network to life and make it more important every day.
The “Un Une” Parity Network’s efforts are paying off. Thanks to you, gender parity is no longer just a concept that everyone is vaguely familiar with—it is now an issue that is part of the daily lives of all postal workers. Moreover, it is a motivating and inspiring topic, and everyone understands its importance and the need to champion its values. At a time when, in many parts of the world, companies are backtracking on gender parity issues, we are fortunate to belong to an international Group that is firmly committed to the goal of equal access for women and men to all jobs and all positions. Because the network involves all of us at every level of the organization, it is an essential pillar of this commitment and a powerful catalyst for accelerating progress.
Let’s stay the course so we can continue to drive our entire company forward and help bring about change throughout society!
Aurore Mayer, Director of the Parity UN UNE Network
