Exhibition at the Musée de la Libération in Paris: Women War Photographers. An exhibition co-organized by the Musée de la Libération in Paris—Musée du Général Leclerc—Musée Jean Moulin (Paris Musées) and the Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf.

Discover the works of eight renowned female photographers who documented 75 years of international conflicts, from the 1930s to the most recent wars: Lee Miller (1907–1977), Gerda Taro (1910–1937), Catherine Leroy (1944–2006), Christine Spengler (born in 1945), Françoise Demulder (1947–2008), Susan Meiselas (born 1948), Carolyn Cole (born 1961), and Anja Niedringhaus (1965–2014). Through some 100 documents, more than 80 photographs, and a dozen original newspapers and magazines, the exhibition “Women War Photographers” highlights women’s involvement in all conflicts, whether as combatants, victims, or witnesses.
