Promoting Gender Equality: Toward an International Standard
The promotion of gender equality will soon become an international standard.
On February 25, the international conference “Promoting Gender Equality: Toward an International Standard” will be held, as part of an initiative spearheaded by France, notably through the launch of ISO standardization efforts.
The goal? Develop an international standard designed as a guide containing a set of best practices to promote gender equality within organizations and in their activities.
Two highlights:
- Presentations by organizations (companies, government agencies, NGOs, etc.) that will share their experiences with the challenges they face in promoting gender equality. They will explain why an international standard is necessary.
- An overview of the draft ISO international standard and how it complements other initiatives.
International standard-setting bodies, private and public organizations, representatives from government ministries… this conference brings together key stakeholders working to promote gender equality.
This event is organized by AFNOR, with support from the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry for Gender Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunity, and the Ministry of the Economy, Finance, and Economic Recovery.
Participation is free, but registration is required.
