La Poste Signs a Fifth Agreement on Workplace Equality

On July 21, La Poste and the labor unions CGT, CFDT, FO, the “Osons l’Avenir” CFE-CGC/CFTC list, and UNSA-Postes signed a fifth agreement on professional equality, valid for three years.

La Poste is further solidifying its leadership in this area by signing a fifth agreement for the 2022–2025 period. In particular, it plans to promote gender parity among senior executives, increase gender diversity across job roles, continue the fight against sexism and violence, and strengthen preventive health measures for Postal workers.

Ensure workplace equality at all levels of the company

La Poste is taking steps to increase the representation of women in top management positions and thereby contribute to the goal of the strategic plan “La Poste 2030: Committed to You” to advance gender parity among executives.

La Poste has set goals of achieving 50% women in Group A, 45% women in Group B, and 40% women in Group C by 2025. It will allocate 300,000 euros per year—and 100,000 euros per year for Groups B and C—to implement individual measures aimed at closing the gender pay gap.

La Poste will train the entire HR department and managers on workplace equality and combating sexism and gender stereotypes. Training will also be offered to all postal workers starting this year.

” Un Une” Parity Network will continue its efforts and thereby help advance gender equality.

Combating Sexism and Stereotypes

La Poste reaffirms its zero-tolerance policy in the fight against sexism.

It will make a self-assessment app on sexism available to all its employees. The guide on preventing and combating sexism at La Poste will be widely distributed and provided to new hires.

Ensuring diversity in the workforce and career advancement

Career development is a key driver for advancing gender equality and diversity:

  • Qualified female candidates will be systematically sought for all vacant positions in Groups A, B, and C.
  • Diversity will be sought in the talent pools.
  • The teams responsible for recruitment and career mobility help promote gender diversity
  • The representation of women in digital professions will be expanded through the establishment of the data/Artificial Intelligence school and through digital coding training.
  • La Poste will develop partnerships with schools to promote access for young women and men to traditionally gendered fields (engineering, logistics, technical roles, HR, communications, etc.).
