The Parity Network Mentoring Program is launching its first edition!
2025 marks the launch of the first cohort of the "Un Une" Parity Network mentoring program!
On December 9, the network reached a major milestone by launching the very first cohort of its mentoring program for female employees, who chose to name it the “Anne-Laure Bourn Cohort.”
More than just an introductory meeting between mentors and mentees, this initiative is a concrete step that enables female employees to shape their own career paths and envision their future within the Group. The pairs were carefully selected in advance by the network’s management team, ensuring that the mentors’ complementary career paths aligned with the mentees’ expectations and needs. While group meetings will take place throughout the year, each pair has the autonomy to develop this inspiring relationship on their own terms.
Aurélie Mallécot, director of labor relations and employee engagement at Geopost, will serve as a mentor herself this year. An interview.
What do you think about the implementation of this program?
Aurélie Mallécot: This program is a wonderful achievement, and I think it was something people had been eagerly awaiting. The fact that this program will be implemented as early as 2025 demonstrates the commitment of the Steering Committee (of the “Un Une” Parity Network, Ed.) and the network more broadly to promoting gender parity. It sends a very strong message to all employees—and to female employees in particular—that there are countless opportunities to explore within the Group. This mentoring program will serve as a space for connecting and sharing experiences, helping people get to know one another better within the Group.
Why did you decide to become a mentor?
Aurélie Mallécot: First of all , because I was fortunate enough to benefit from the guidance of a mentor myself. It was an extremely enriching and memorable experience in my professional career, and I still benefit from it today. So I wanted to pass this opportunity on to someone else by personally committing to a program of this kind—in this case, through the Parity Network.
What have you been taught that you'd like to pass on as a mentor?
Aurélie Mallécot: It’s the boxer’s minute! A boxer will engage in about four minutes of intense effort followed by one minute of rest. In professional life, there are moments when we’re truly in the thick of things, driven by momentum and energy. But we also need to know how to take a break from time to time to gain a better perspective on what we’ve accomplished. Taking that step back is necessary for analysis, but also to recharge, since we need that energy to get back to it.
What advice would you give to future mentees?
Aurélie Mallécot: First , I’d like to congratulate you all: well done—you took the leap to join this first community of mentees! Now, make the most of this experience. Ultimately, that’s the message from the Parity Network and La Poste Group regarding engagement: ask questions, be curious, try new things…Also, the men and women who have chosen to mentor you are also on this learning journey, so challenge us—don’t hesitate—it will only make the experience more enriching for all of us!
