“Portraits of Gender Equality,” an exhibition at 15 post offices in the AURA region
From March 7 to March 21, 15 post offices in the region hosted an exhibition titled “Postal Workers: Portraits of Equality.” Nearly 100 postal workers representing 15 different roles collaborated on the creation of this exhibition.
On February 28, La Poste released its latest figures on gender parity within the Group for 2021. For the fourth consecutive year, La Poste achieved a score of 94 out of 100 on the Gender Equality Index, thanks to its efforts to promote pay equity.
In Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, from March 7 to 21, an exhibition titled “Postal Workers: Portraits of Gender Parity” toured several postal sites, exploring this theme. The goal of the exhibition is to provide a concrete illustration of the gender parity statistics within the company and to show that all positions are equally open to both women and men.
Double portrait depicting 15 different roles
100 employees took part in the double-portrait project, representing 15 different roles. “Gender parity means equality between men and women, and my greatest hope is that we’re all on the same path toward progress! “I immediately agreed to participate in this initiative because, even though we at La Poste Group are very committed to this issue, we still have progress to make, and talking about it helps spread the word far and wide!” emphasizes Patrick Ranchon, a mail carrier in Valence Herriot.
In Lyon, at the Hôtel de La Poste de Lyon, this exhibition features 11 different roles, with employees from all levels of the organization and from across the region.
Showcase the diversity of careers within the Group
Beyond gender parity, this is also an opportunity to showcase the diversity of careers within the Group, some of which are little known—such as mortgage advisors and data technicians. This exhibition is also available online.
“This exhibition was conceived and created by the ambassadors of the Un Une Parity Network in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. ‘Gender parity is everyone’s business; it is inclusive, ‘ explains Mylène Franceschi, regional delegate for La Poste Group in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.“
