La Poste’s “Un Une” Parity Network has kicked off its “Tour de France of Gender Parity”

La Poste’s "Un Une" network hit the road for its annual Tour de France des Régions to bring the topic of workplace equality directly to its employees. The goal? To strengthen the commitment of postal workers, raise awareness about stereotypes, and provide practical tools for a more inclusive corporate culture. Let’s go!

Orléans and Toulouse, “Shoot Down Prejudice”

Last September and October, the initiative kicked off with a sports theme in Orléans, in the Centre-Val de Loire region, and in Toulouse, in Occitanie. Both events featured an inspiring talk by Candice Prévost, a former PSG player and sports consultant. Drawing on her experience, she led memorable interactive workshops, inviting participants to “shoot down stereotypes” to better understand what it really means to play by the same rules—or with obstacles in the way.

This collective momentum then continued through roundtable discussions. In Orléans, this took the form of a discussion on the theme “Jobs at La Poste Have No Gender,” featuring testimonials that illustrated the diversity of career paths within the Group. The presentation by Cécilia Trani, Regional Director for Women’s Rights and Equality, highlighted the Initiatives for Gender Parity in the Centre-Val de Loire region. In Toulouse, the roundtable discussions “Gender Parity and Collective Performance — Perspectives from Toulouse Football Club and the Business World” and “Inspiring and Supporting: The Paths of Managers and Athletes,” as well as the presentation by Karine Meininger, Director of France Travail, showcased gender parity from a different yet equally inspiring angle, offering us a deeper understanding of the issue.

Lyon: Community Engagement at the Heart of the City

On September 30, the Tour de France made its way to the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region for a meaningful “Gender Equality Day” in Lyon. During this inspiring event, a plenary session kicked off the discussions, followed by a roundtable discussion focused on the challenges and successes of women managers in the region. In addition, the AURA region took the opportunity to recognize the dedication of ambassadors who are particularly committed to equality. The event concluded with a lively, community-oriented celebration in the streets of Lyon, honoring iconic women from local history. It was an ideal opportunity to link the cause of gender parity to the region’s cultural heritage.

Bordeaux: The Beginning of a Movement

On November 4, the Parity Network headed to Nouvelle-Aquitaine for the event “Committing to Gender Equality.” During this day filled with emotion and meaningful discussions, numerous personal stories deeply moved the audience. Stories from women and men, along with roundtable discussions, prompted the audience to reflect and ask themselves questions. Postal workers also had the opportunity to welcome Laura Lesueur, a speaker and entrepreneur, who spoke on the topic “Claiming Your Place and Embracing Your Ambition.” A conference that inspires growth. The day concluded with an inauguration ceremony featuring a symbolic ribbon-cutting to launch the “Un Une” Parity Network in the region, which will offer immersion days and mentoring for women who are interested.

A rewarding day that highlights the support and resources available to postal workers.

The route continues through the Île-de-France region

In the heart of the Postal de La Poste, the Île-de-France delegation of the “Un Une” Parity Network gathered to discuss gender parity together, drawing on the experiences of employees with inspiring career paths and benefiting from diverse perspectives on best management practices and inclusive initiatives. To round out this enriching event on a high note, a guided tour of the exhibition “The Role of Women at La Poste from the 17th Century to Today” was offered, providing everyone with an opportunity to discover the role women have played in the company throughout history.
